This graduation cake is a simple and clean example of a universally cute design that could really work for just about any occasion! The cap and diploma are a giveaway for this celebration, but the yellow, red, and white fondant rings and dots could be found on just about any birthday or anniversary. A great option for a fun and colorful graduation party.

Cap and Book Stack

This two-tier graduation cake is a very clever way to make a fun and unique cake without having to spend too much. The bottom tier has been sculpted to look like two large books (the spines of which bear the writing of the cake) while the top is decorated to look like a graduate’s cap. Graduating from a Master’s program is a particularly significant accomplishment and a rare enough celebration for us to get to design a cake around – a real treat!

Grad Cap and Zebra

Zebra stripes in black and white with a red accent is a difficult design not to like – there is something very beautiful about the overall look. So it really isn’t hard to see that adding a grad cap and numbers would just enhance the design, making the easily adaptable zebra stripes work for an elegant graduation cake.

Purple and Gold Diploma

This elegant two-tier graduation cake is a very popular design. The unfurled diploma is both elegant and startling in how much of the cake it takes up. A generally compelling design, the simple choice of black and white as accents to the school colors makes for a rather complete feeling to the overall look.

Cap and Swirls

Simple and clean, this elegant and fun graduation cake is made up of two tiers:  the larger sheet in white vanilla buttercream at the bottom, and the smaller round sculpted to look like a graduate’s cap. The swirls and stars in school colors are tied in up on the cap in the writing. Generally a very nice option for an adult’s graduation cake!

Graduation in Stripes and Dots

A simple and fun way to celebrate such an important and notable milestone! This two-tier graduation cake is easily done is any school colors and lends itself beautifully to further customization with the name and year on and around the grad-cap. Graduation is a significant achievement for any student, but one that is celebrated with particular excitement by the graduate’s proud family and friends!

Wizard of Oz Wedding Trio

A wedding cake separated into different tiers, this Wizard of Oz inspired trio is the perfect combination of beauty, elegance, and whimsical fun! To decorate each of the tiers a major is reduced to their most identifying features:  Cowardly Lion with his ringlets and ribbon, Scarecrow with his burlap and straw, and Dorothy with her blue and white gingham and red ruby slippers (here done as a band around the base of the cake). The threads of story bind the three together:  yellow brick road paves some part of each tier; poppies work their magic to give the entire piece more of a wedding cake feel. This is a great example of how a very specific idea or theme can be easily arranged to feel elegant and wedding-ish however much it intrinsically lacks such characteristics.
