Classic Cakes
Sometimes the most elegant cakes are the classic cakes that have always been around. Simple designs such as Swiss dots with ribbon, or even just top and bottom borders can be so subtle that it adds just the right touch. Another classic design is a sweeping arrangement of flowers. Of course there are always the more traditional classic cakes, like doing buttercream drapery, or buttercream flowers. The use of pearls can also add that beautifully classic aspect. For instance, the cake could have simple borders with pearls just above them. Using colors such as plain white, ivory, silver and gold always stand true to the classic cake look. Often, having a classic cake is the most elegant way to top off and celebrate a wedding.
