Floral Cake
Floral cakes are very popular in weddings today, as they’ve been for years. We love being inspired by the flora and fauna of that Mother Nature has provided. We make cakes to cater to fresh flowers, simple and elegant cakes that are the perfect blank canvas for a florist’s eye. We also create masterpieces of gum paste flowers, implementing ranges of flowers from Gerber daisies to calla lilies—the fun and fresh to the delicate and exquisite. In addition to those choices, we also have fondant flowers that we can make custom for the floral cakes. We make funky, surreal flowers such as those on our signature cake “Kristen’s Dream,” or we can make small, sweet and subtle flowers when put together in a sweeping bouquet create an intricate display of nature’s finest. We also do different kinds of floral cakes, such as our cake that we make to appear like stumps of wood with little mushrooms, leaves, and birds on it. We’ve created fruit themed cakes as well, like our orange inspired floral cake that had oranges of all sizes paired with dark brown sticks—all of which is completely edible. Another fruit themed cake is our pear cake, which also has the branches with pears and little pink flowers to add that soft touch, and on the top—the bride and groom were a pair of pear, one with a veil and pearls, the other with a tux and hat! Floral cakes have an incredible range of versatility, and they add such freshness to any wedding.
